Yule Tree Farms, Home Depot partners Yule Tree Farms, producers of Oregon's Noble Vintage designer trees, introduced a line of trees for Home Depot stores. This year, trees will be available in Arizona, Colorado and Albuquerque, N.M. According to a company statement, Yule Tree Farms president Joseph Sharp is excited to offer Home Depot customers the same freshness and quality that, in the past, have only been available at independent garden centers. Trees destined for the Depot don't carry the Oregon's Noble Vintage brand name or hangtag.
Direct mail is still tops Consumers should continue to expect a deluge of junk mail, according to a report in USA Today. Ad forecaster Robert Coen predicts spending on direct mail will increase 7.5% to $64 billion next year, after growing 8.5% this year. But plenty of advertising dollars still go to online sources. Steve King, CEO of media-buying company ZenithOptimedia, predicts ad spending on the Web will reach $16 billion this year, a 25% rise over 2005.
