It’s a trying shipping season at Greene Family Nursery. In fact, it’s the shipping season that almost isn’t.

The nursery usually finds a reliable supply of common carriers to deliver its products. This year is an exception. A local Teamsters strike is in full force, and high fuel prices have put many of the independent truckers the nursery relies on out of business.
