'Capistrano'

'Capistrano' from Briggs Nursery is reported to be the best hardy yellow variety to date. It produces bright-yellow blossoms in May and withstands Zone 5. Foliage is large and dark-green and growth habit is compact.

It reaches 5 feet tall and 6 feet wide and grows best in filtered sun and well-drained, acidic soils. 'Capistrano' was developed by David Leach.
