Ornamental grasses are not a new crop, but consumers are beginning to warm up to the versatile plants, giving growers a good reason to add grasses to their production schedules. Some growers may have been burned before on ornamental grasses when consumers didn’t embrace the plants. But features like heat tolerance, winter interest and pest resistance have attracted consumers to these adaptable and interesting plants.
