Sometimes called the “summer snapdragon,” angelonia offers heat and humidity tolerance that often elude gardeners in summer. Growers can extend their selling season with this crop and grow it in a warm greenhouse.

There are upright, compact and cascading angelonias on the market. The plant can be marketed for mixed containers, hanging baskets or for landscape color.

Breeders and growers rated angelonia as #4 when we asked them for up-and-coming plants for the industry.
