The presence of many pollinating insects, such as these bumblebees on veronica, is a sign of a healthy farm.


Plants grow through 6-inch holes burned in the polypropylene fabric. Holes are covered with mulch to further prevent weeds.


Plants, such as these phlox, are grown densely to increase efficiency and reduce weeds. Crops are spaced up to 10 plants per square foot.
