Crime report

Thrips are tiny, voracious eaters that hide and feed within buds, flowers and foliage. Adults feed by piercing and removing the contents of individual plant cells. Feeding injury distorts and discolors leaves and flowers. They also feed on pollen, which causes premature senescence. Some species are vectors of tospoviruses including tomato spotted wilt virus (TSWV) and impatiens necrotic spot virus (INSV).
